Technology Camps

Virtually all aspects of our lives involve computers and demand for programmers is predicted to increase by up to 32% in just the next 5 years. Virtually all academic and professional careers will involve some level of coding and programming skills. Technology companies recruit people according to technical, coding and programming skills. We believe in academically preparing your child for this future -- and programming skills are as essential as they come.

Physics and Science of Cooking

Chef Koochooloo’s after school and camp program blends humanity’s oldest means of socialization—cooking and eating together—with its most modern lessons. Our master chefs lead classes leveraging our iPad application, framed around recipes from a specific country or culture. As we prepare food together, kids learn about cooking-related math and science skills, and social-responsibility. Additionally, we emphasize healthy cooking techniques.

As we prepare food together, we discuss how the ingredients are prepared prior to cooking, the history of the country of origin for this meal, geography, history and current events about a particular country or region. As we proceed during each day's meal, Students learn about cooking-related math, science skills, and social-responsibility as well as healthy cooking techniques.
The upcoming Chef Koochooloo camps is:
December 26-29, 2017
Days:4 Half Days

6th Grade and Up - Learn to Code IOT

In this class, you will learn how to program electronic components in an IOT ( internet of things ). We will cover programming via the arduino processor to control switches, dials, lights and other external sensors and devices. The 5 day camp will alternate between instruction and hands-on projects. On Friday, students will present and explain how the features and functions of one of their projects created during the week, parents are welcome to join us for the final presentations.

This camp provides the foundation in computer programming logic, programming interfaces to electronics and component assembly. The camp consists of training in logical programming structures and building four Arduino based projects including the computer code, the Arduino processor, bread board and basic IOT lights, buzzers, servo motors and electronics. All components are connected with jumper wires, there is no soldering.

Weekly HTML/CSS coding Classes are available on

6th Grade and Up - Learn to Code - HTML/CSS

HTML and CSS form the foundation of the internet. Every modern web page is coded and formatted with these two languages, from the most basic to the most complex. Students can see instant results and there are no logic loops or functions so they make a great introduction to programming. All students will research a topic of their choosing and then design and build a website which will be hosted online at our Student Web site.

This camp focuses on building a webpage. Students will begin in the Codecademy curriculum while they learn the basics and then move on to an independent editor to build their own page. The camp will cover paragraphs and headings, links, images, lists, and formatting including fonts, colors, dividers, margins, and tabs.
